About Susan

    Experience is the AI advantage.

I've spent my career figuring out how businesses grow — first as a strategist, then inside growth companies, then by building a company myself. Now I use AI-native tools to dramatically reduce the distance between strategy and execution.

    The through-line

    I'm a change agent and a builder.

My whole career has moved back and forth between two things: seeing what needs to change, and making that change real.

I started in strategy — Price Waterhouse's Strategic Consulting Group, then McKinsey & Company — and earned my MBA at Harvard Business School. But I didn't stay in the advice business. I spent most of my career inside growth-stage companies rather than large corporations, close enough to the decisions to live with them.

I helped grow brands into businesses worth hundreds of millions. Then I stopped helping other people build and became the founder myself.

What accumulates over a career like that isn't a résumé. It's commercial judgment.

    Becoming the founder

I founded DMOS with no background in the industry and no connections in it.

So I had to learn and own all of it — product, brand, customer, ecommerce, marketing, sales, operations, hiring, capital, manufacturing, growth. Seven patents and applications came out of it. We built a premium hard-goods brand trusted by professional athletes and elite military units. I ran it for nine years and sold it.

There is a difference between advising a founder and carrying the responsibility of being one. I know the difference because I've lived it.

    Why AI changed what's possible
I've spent my career moving between strategy and execution. AI changed the distance between the two.

Today I can move from strategy to positioning to customer journey to website to CRM to automation to analytics — and often build it directly in the tools myself. The old boundaries between strategist, creative, marketer, technologist and builder have largely collapsed.

For a founder-led business, that means far less translation loss. The thinking and the build are the same conversation.

The tools can make almost anyone faster. They can't tell you what matters.

That part comes from making decisions and living with the consequences — serving customers, launching products, hiring people, raising capital, working inside real constraints, building things that worked and things that didn't, and being the one responsible for the outcome.

That's what I'm actually bringing to your business. The technology is how fast it gets built.

I'm 60. I see that as an advantage.

AI hasn't made my experience obsolete. It's made decades of accumulated judgment dramatically more executable. Knowing what to build has always been the hard part. Now the distance between knowing and shipping is measured in days.
